Galaxy Zoo is an online astronomy project which invites members of the public to assist in classifying over a million galaxies. It is an example of Citizen science as it enlists the help of members of the public to help in scientific research. Everyone can participate!

If you have little bit of chance, you can even discover something completely new! This was the case of Dutch schoolteacher Hanny van Arkel, she discovered “strange green object“, which is probably a new class of astronomical object.
