GNU/Radio in Fedora

From today you can enjoy GNU/Radio in Fedora. What’s GNURadio? It’s a python-based software for deploying SDR (Software Defined Radios). One of the most popular along hardware for usage of SDRs is Universal Software Radio Peripheral, it’s just a small electronic board, quite cheap and what’s interesting, with open design.

USRP

This small board pre-process signal that is afterwards processed by the software radio itself. In other words, everything that was possible only using expensive radio-hardware equipment is now possible using any computer. This open many possibilities for radio-astronomers.

Hi,

I have a question. Can I run the GNU radio software on RedHad? I’m asking this because the gnu radios website does not include RedHat distro of linux in the list of platforms.

I appreciate your help on this.

Thanks,
Steve
